Overview of class
This course introduces the core components of media--idea, image, sound, and sequence--with the technical fundamentals involved in shooting and editing video. Through lectures, labs and assignments, students develop basic skills for working in audiovisual media (cinematography, sound, editing, and screen performance). We will use the experience of audiovisual production to interrogate contemporary artistic and industrial practices and processes.
