Overview of class

"Contemporary Jazz will focus on the foundational training and principles of this form including musicality, bodily isolations, floorwork, groundedness, and collectivity.

Class structure includes a warm-up, physical conditioning, turn sequences, jumps, and related stylized choreography. Students will work on strength and flexibility, both in body and mind, in order to become smart, versatile dancers.

This class is designed for students who are confident and experienced beyond basic Jazz and/or Contemporary dance practices."

Enrollment Requirements

Enrollment Requirements: This class is restricted to Dance majors/minors & Music Theatre Certificate students during pre-registration, after which time enrollment will be open to everyone who has taken the prerequisites (when pre-reqs are applicable) or have placed in the level
