Overview of class
This class will address the philosophical, structural and pedagogical issues that affect music within the context of higher education.

Learning Objectives
This course will provide an opportunity for students to:
• Consider and discuss the diverse missions of colleges and universities;
• Compare the structure and content of selected post-secondary music programs;
• Identify fundamental skills of teaching and evaluating;
• Create a selected college/university level course;
• Explore employment opportunities within the field of higher education.
