Overview of class

This class will focus on building practical skills to effectively cover local politics and hold public officials accountable. Students will learn how to be a watchdog by scrutinizing campaign finance reports, filing FOIA requests and reviewing public records and databases to scrutinize the backgrounds of politicians seeking public office.
