Overview of class

This course will introduce students to interdisciplinary approaches to investigating the human mind combining cognitive and neuroscience perspectives. Class discussion will focus on attempts to understand relationships between mental functions and brain mechanisms. Various methodological and theoretical approaches will be considered in relation to fundamental questions about consciousness. The course also includes an end-of-term debate for more adventurous interaction and discussion.

Evaluation Method

Grades will be based on participation in class discussion, presentations, weekly written assignments, and a final essay.
