Overview of class

This course addresses two related aspects of research—methods (techniques and criteria for gathering evidence; sampling; comparability of types of data; "context") and methodologies (tools for analysis of researched data)—in order to help PhD students understand how large projects in theatre and performance research are planned, organized, and carried out. The emphasis this year is on recognizing and deploying methods and methodologies multiply as multi- or inter-disciplinary research.
