Overview of class

This course offers a comprehensive overview of audition preparation for roles on Primetime, Cable, and Streaming platforms, with particular attention to Co-Star and Guest-Star roles. Students will learn essential camera techniques for self-tapes and discover how to approach audition scenes from a technical perspective through text analysis and soulful interpretation. The business of the business will also be addressed.

This class will be held on the downtown campus at Abbott Hall.

Registration Requirements

Students should have already taken and completed an acting class at Northwestern - either THEATRE 171-0 Basic Acting or THEATRE 273-1 Acting I.

Class Notes

Students should make sure that their schedules permit them enough time to travel to the Chicago campus for this class.
