Learning Objectives
Knowledge of how to perfect a secured transaction in accordance with the requirements of Article 9 UCC; the specialized nature and commercial practices associated with different types of collateral; and how to provide a secured lender with protection against and priority over the different classes of adverse creditor claims (bankruptcy trustee, competing secured transactions, statutory and labor/storage liens, judicial liens, upstream suppliers, downstream transferees, lessors, consignors, and bank setoffs).
