Overview of class
This course will examine legal writing and speaking, with a focus on strategy and reasoning techniques useful to success in law-based careers and graduate studies. Students will work on a legal case from beginning to end, conducting discovery; writing motions, memos and briefs; and engaging in a mock trial. Lessons will also be taught in the mechanics of bluebook citations and techniques for succeeding on the LSAT. This course is taught by a former attorney and current Northwestern professor.
