Overview of class

Summer: Quantum mechanics, electronic structure, periodic properties of elements, chemical bonding, thermodynamics, intermolecular forces, properties of solids and liquids, and properties of solutions.

Students enrolled in this course MUST also enroll in the associated laboratory course, CHEM 141-0.

Registration Requirements

Prerequisite: Grade of C- or better in Chemistry 110-0.

Students who have received permission to start the sequence with this course must obtain a permission number from the Chemistry Department.
