Overview of class
In this short course, students "consult" on a real-life project within the 5,000-strong, dynamic North American business-to-business media space. Working as a team in concert with media leaders, they explore how a specialized title's various platforms unite to serve highly targeted professional/industrial decision-makers with robust independent journalism and subject matter expertise. Students hone the craft and management skills that can fuel rewarding careers or freelance opportunities.
Recent projects have covered exemplary and ethical use of Chat GPT, LinkedIn as an engagement driver for a major automotive brand, writing targeted stories for a B2B portal and a video/social media strategy for a beauty title. A contemporary choice is forthcoming.
