Overview of class

Crisis Communications explores the impact of high-stakes internal, external, and societal dynamics on organizational success and business outcomes. This course offers practical insights, theories and frameworks, and actionable strategies from real-world scenarios that can be applied to students' professional work. Key course topics include crisis planning and preparedness, effective crisis management strategies, stakeholder management, executive/leadership counsel, navigating reputation risk, damage, and repair, the role of media and technology in crises, and more. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the tools, strategies, confidence, and competency to demonstrate leadership during times of uncertainty.
