Overview of class
Foundational concerns and practices for screen acting. Scene analysis, rehearsal, staging and camera space, casting, performing with the edit in mind. Creating and portraying characters for most effective capture by the camera. Film directing techniques as related to the actor. Prioritizing hands-on work in and out of class, performing in and directing exercises to build acting skills in projects designed to focus on cinematic storytelling. Required introductory course for the Acting for Screen module sequence.
Registration Requirements
Students must have completed the prerequisite courses RTVF 190 and an acting class - either THEATRE 171-0 or THEATRE 273-1 to enroll.
