Overview of class

The focus of my nonfiction workshop is Manuscript Development. We will be looking at each colleague's current manuscript, whether it is all In pieces or a completed first draft. We will read together - carefully - to consider issues of the book as a whole alongside line readings.

Topics include Structural Questions:How does the work unfold? Are tropes dynamic? Is the structure consequential + Content Questions: What is the piece saying? What are the revelations of the work? What is this book grappling with?

Class discussion will be organized to ensure that everyone has time and space to share cohered and succinct ideas.
