Overview of class

This class provides a survey of major authors and movements in the French novel from the 17th to 21st centuries.

Registration Requirements

Prerequisite: FRENCH 210-0 or FRENCH 211-0, AP score of 5 in literature, or consent of instructor.

Learning Objectives

Students will learn to recognize stylistic and thematic characteristics typical of each author/period, as well as technical skills for literary analysis.

In class discussions and written assignments.
