Overview of class
This course takes up a wide and eclectic range of contemporary writers to revel in, and examine, how their poetry variously engages traditional poetics and modern aesthetics. With particular attention to the new poetries of the last 25 years, this course will explore literary concerns related to form, experimentation, and artistic production as well as those social related immigration, gender, and racial formation, among others.
