Overview of class

Intro to scenic design is a 10 week course applying the major principles of design to the physical stage. Students will learn the necessary skills, including but not limited to, analysis, storyboarding, model making, and hand drafting in order to develop a final scenic design for a play or musical.

Evaluation Method

Midterm and final examinations. Project work throughout. Attendance.

Printing: Students will be required to print a minimum of 5 chosen design inspirations on US letter size paper, 3 papers in BW and 2 in color, approximately once a week. Estimated cost around $30.
