Overview of class
This course will explore creating an devising movement for musical theater from gestural storytelling, to classic and evolving musical theater vocabulary. The class meets once a week, and will begin by clarifying values by creating an evolving artist values statement/manifesto and work to discover a personal, idiosyncratic vocabulary. The class will explore script, scene, and song analyzing and interpretation, staging, movement studies,
and a final project to be defined by you and the professor.
