Overview of class

A seminar devoted to issues related to older adults, including changes in health and cognition with age. Current knowledge relevant to older adults, and discussion of scientific literature relevant to aging and cognition. Emphasis on using current information to guide clinical decisions.

1. Describe health and cognitive issues affecting older adults
2. Contrast age-typical and abnormal cognitive changes
3. Implement evidence-based methods of cognitive screening and referral
