Overview of class

This course introduces teaching and learning strategies that aid students in becoming effective educators in the middle grades setting. Emphasizing current research, each course of MS_ED 466, 467, 468, 469 is a comprehensive study of teaching methods in the following middle grades disciplines: English, mathematics, sciences, and social sciences. Lesson and unit planning and assessment of student learning are elements of the seminar.

Prerequisite (MS_ED 468 Middle Grades Science only): MS_ED 458 High School Science Methods & Techniques.
