Overview of class
For ISP students and (prospective or declared) chemistry majors. Techniques of modern organic chemistry including NMR spectroscopy and reactions such as electrophilic aromatic substitution, esterification, Grignard reaction, aldol condensation, Robinson annulation, and Diels-Alder reaction.
CHEM 232-2 is the laboratory course associated with CHEM 212-2. Students enrolled in CHEM 212-2 must also enroll in CHEM 232-2.
Registration Requirements
Prerequisite: Grade of C- or better in CHEM 212-1 and CHEM 232-1.
Students enrolled in CHEM 212-2 must also enroll in CHEM 232-2.
Class Materials (Required)
Lab coats, which will be provided for use at no cost to students.
Goggles, which were provided to students in CHEM 232-1.

Enrollment Requirements: Co-Requisite: Students must also register for Chemistry 212-2.
