Overview of class

First course of a three-quarter sequence in introductory Spanish, designed for students who have never studied Spanish or studied Spanish less than two years in high school. Students will learn Spanish in order to use it beyond the classroom in meaningful and authentic ways at the Novice level of proficiency.

Registration Requirements

Students may not begin Spanish 101 in the middle of the sequence.
No P/N.
Attendance at first class is required.

*NOTE: If you have taken two years or more of Spanish coursework prior to entrance to Northwestern you must take the online Spanish placement exam before registering for this course.
