Overview of class

Graduate seminar course on concept maps, argument maps, and other visual support tools for reasoning and evidence evaluation. There will be a special emphasis on arguments related to public policy, clear explanations of prescriptions backed by data & evidence, and battling irrationality in the world.

Teaching Method

We'll be joined frequently by the folks who develop this software & related courseware (thinkeranalytix.org).

Evaluation Method

Students will read, present, and discuss papers from the cognitive sciences, learning sciences, diagrams, HCI, AI literatures.

Enrollment Requirements: Pre-requisite: Student must be part of the Psychology PhD program to enroll.
