Overview of class

This course will focus on developing an understanding of the ecology of plants, pollinators, and their interactions. We will build on this ecological knowledge in order to think critically about the conservation challenges faced by plants and pollinators all across the globe today. Topics in this course will range from plant and pollinator life cycles, pollination ecology, pollination as an ecosystem services, and conservation. Emphasis in this course will be on the development of skills in critical reading, interpretation, discussion, and writing in science.

Teaching Method

This is a discussion based class. Discussions are based on regular readings.

Evaluation Method

Students will be evaluated based on participation in discussion, oral presentation, and written essays.
