Overview of class

This class is designed for the student who already knows the mechanics of producing a segment or show for broadcast and the web and wants to go beyond that. It will challenge students to think about overall content goals of what they are producing and how those content goals can be reached in the most accurate, clear and creative way in order to hold an audience. It will include concepts of how to communicate through writing, on-camera delivery and visuals. It will also focus on the many details needed to produce fast-paced, clean, live shows. From day one students can expect to be in the studio and producing a show for each class. Content will come from a variety of sources and will be tied to the news of the day. Special emphasis will be placed on election coverage in the run up to and the aftermath of the 2022 midterm elections.
