Overview of class
The Levels 4, 5, 6 course sequence is required for but not limited to Music Education majors. Level 4 provides students of intermediate level with a range of keyboard skills emphasizing accompanying skills, interactive musicianship, and advanced keyboard theory. Other topics include secondary dominants, reducing techniques with regular or accompaniment sight reading, ensemble skills, two-handed accompaniments from existing harmonizations, and individual repertoire choices. The final accompaniment project provides students opportunities to work with another musician and share musical thoughts.
